Assignment 25 – Shadows created by sunshine

sunshine pattern on wood

sun at pilows

shadow on steps

What is my passion when it comes to photography? Scott Thomas has invited to join his 25th assignment, asking this question, which wasn´t easy to answer right away. Scott made a post with “some reference links for looking more into this thing called passion” and I was inspired by the article written by Scott Dickerson, who explain how he define the passion in photography. My answer will after reading this be something like “The shadows created by sunlight”. I almost can´t tell how many interesting and fun challenges this subject is given me, – but I will try – by posting 25 examples the next 25 days, – since this is the 25th assignment Scott has made.

Finally, I have a gift for Scott with many thanks for all the fun and good connections you have created.
Happy anniversary.
I hope you will continue this for many years.

Apple

Another apple came my way. Since I learned that some types of apples doesn´t provoke an allergic reaction, -at least not a big one-, I have got a new subject to study closer.  The apples are: Pink Lady, Santana and Elise, and here is the news about that (in Danish) . Pink Lady is available in almost any shop here in Denmark, I haven´t seen the two others. If by any means this news should show up to be wrong, I don´t mind, it works for me. Good taste, good photo subject, and no doctors in sight.

Light

  ‘

My contribution to Scott Thomas´assignment 16, Best photos of 2011, are examples of what I consider as the most important factor while trying to make good photos, light. Being aware of light of shadows is both fun and very interesting. Slowly one finds pattern and contrast in every corner.

I can´t say these are my best photos, (that would no doubt be my portraits, which I unfortunately can´t show here) choosing them would depend on more demands, but these photos have one thing in common, they all are a result of playing with light. Thank you once again Scott, for making your assignments, this was a good exercise.
