Assignment 25 – Shadows created by sunshine

What is my passion when it comes to photography? Scott Thomas has invited to join his 25th assignment, asking this question, which wasn´t easy to answer right away. Scott made a post with “some reference links for looking more into this thing called passion” and I was inspired by the article written by Scott Dickerson, who explain how he define the passion in photography. My answer will after reading this be something like “The shadows created by sunlight”. I almost can´t tell how many interesting and fun challenges this subject is given me, – but I will try – by posting 25 examples the next 25 days, – since this is the 25th assignment Scott has made.

Finally, I have a gift for Scott with many thanks for all the fun and good connections you have created.
Happy anniversary.
I hope you will continue this for many years.

End of summer

These photos will be my my contribution to Scott Thomas latest assignment, “End of summer”. The summer in Denmark ends in August, but the assignment rules asks for recently taken photos, so I will include this last photo which was taken some days ago, it definitely says “End of summer” to me!

Summer part 2, July

The weather in July can change from cold to warm as the wind blows, so to say. Because of the cold June, we didn´t expect much of a beach party in July, and was prepared for creative activities, as seen at the ipad / camera photo. As the day passed, the weather changed and suddenly the sun was shining and all kind of water equipment was taken to the beach. Nothing last for ever, nor does the good weather, but we were more than thankful for the warm days we got on our holiday in Jutland.

Spring / summer collage

Today is the last day of spring, tomorrow will be the first day of summer, and time for drinking cold white wine under a nice blue sunshade. Spring was very warm with sunny days and temperatures up to 25 degrees, but now when summer arrive,  the charming unpredictable weather has changed and it is reported that June will be cloudy, rainy and cold. 12 – 14 degrees, or perhaps even 15 now and then. A hot rum toddy is probably more appropriate to the weather then, but the sunshade can still be usefull as protection against the rain. Unless the wind blows it away of course. I took a lot of photos at the sunny days of spring, perhaps I should laminate some of them and take them with me under the sunshade, to help getting the right ambience. Summer is comming and the stock of rubber boots in most shops is decreasing. I must go now, to buy some.
