When I first saw a Green Shieldbug, busy climbing a very green plant, I was impressed to see how nicely nature had made it almost invisible. When I saw these two carefree bugs today, I had to lower my level of being impressed…unless we are dealing with feeding next step of the food chain. On second thought, I am impressed again.

Summer

It is summer, the weather has been very good for several weeks. Plants and grass are probably happy that the heat  has been taken over by rain and gray clouds, lasting one week from now or more. Time to go inside and look for all the sweaters and warm clothes, which have been stored somewhere in a moment of “weatherly” optimism.

Happy Valentine´s Day

 Sartenada from Finland has kindly send me a “Versatile blog award”. With the award follows some rules; one has to tell 7 things about oneself, and to pass the award to another 15 bloggers. First of all I want to thank Sartenada for thinking of me, that was really very kind, thank you!

I’m not sure I am a good award receiver though, because I´ve never been good at following rules. I´ll blame my creative mind for seeing rules as ideas just waiting to be worked with. That is, some rules of course, there are exceptions! I really appreciate that Sartenada probably have followed every rule, while working with flight security.
Telling about myself would be difficult, and choosing who to give the award even more, because all of you deserve an appreciation for your inspiring blogs and for the many wonderful comments and answers you produce.

Blogging is a great thing. The possibility of exchanging thoughts, fun stuff or strange observations, learning about other cultures and habits, finding out that ones personal eccentricity isn´t that unusual – or that others are just as crazy, is worth all the hours in front of the computer and too little time for exercise. In other words, I´m awarding you all, for also spending too much time in front of your computers, and having too little time for exercise. I love you and I love your blogs.

What was the name of…

I don´t remember the name of the toy with mirrors and pearls, which make new images if it is moved. In my childhood, this was indeed a magic world, sometimes the pattern was so beautiful that they had to be shown to a parent or sibling, but was that ever possible? The quality that made it possible to create such wonders was the same quality that made it impossible to hand the toy over and share the joy. One tiny movement, and the picture had changed. If everything has a point, this one might be either to learn total muscle control or the fact that we never see things exactly the same. Sometimes almost, but never exactly. This picture was made the same way, almost by itself, and I´m showing it to you because I got surprised. I was making a mosaic, and had two copies of the same photo on the screen. Suddenly I had more…and here we are. But what was that toy called…?

Thank you everyone for sending me your birthday-greetings, I have enjoyed receiving all the nice and humorous words. I also enjoyed the comments  I got during my trip to Jutland. That mobile internet-modem that we brought was actually fun to have….when it was available ofcourse. A good motivator to get up early…

Holiday is over, children have started school and their parents have started working again. I´m looking forward to continue blogging, reading your blogs and see your all summerphotos.

I hope you have had a wonderful and refreshing holiday, and feel ready continuing your blogging.
