Assignment 23 Winter in Denmark
Winter in Denmark, sometimes bright with beautiful sunrises and tracks in the snow, sometimes just dark and cold, and a longing for being able to start gardening again. We have to wait at least some months before that will be possible.
This post is my contribution to Scott Thomas assignment 23, “Winter”.
I think my favorite is the guy walking….but liked the wheelbarrow too…and the wings in the snow…. 🙂
The wings in the snow made me wonder if the bird had taken a ice bath? Thank you for commenting. 🙂
These look great; really like the one of the wheelbarrow! =D
Thank you. I like the wheelbarrow too. Hopefully it won´t take too long before it can be used properly. 🙂
Looking at your pictures is like reading a Winter story, Birgitte. From morning to evening. Scenes of nature and town in those particular shades you captured very well. My favourite shot may well be the birds steps in grey shades but also the town in snow in the blue mood. I love what you see in your Winter.
You caught the idea, Isa – of course. You are used to look for a pattern. I was thinking about in which order I should post the photos, and thought then that it would give them a naturel flow if they were organized that way, from morning to evening. There has to be some kind of logic, otherwise the viewer will look for it and loose some of the attention which should have been used at the object, photos or patchwork or …
Thank you 🙂
Beautiful photos Birgitte! I really like the shots of prints in the snow – very creative.
It was very nice to open the door and find them, – the footsteps were from the postman. Thank you for commenting. 🙂
It does look very cold in your area, my favorite is the second image of the foot prints in the snow.
Oh, it absolutely is, compared with your temperatures. The birdsteps are a bit surprising, I wonder what that bird were doing so close to the door. Thank you Ginger.
Birgitte, it all looks so… cold! Walking home (or to work) in the dark always makes me feel winter more. That last photo captured that feeling exactly.
I think too, that the last photo shows one of the major effects of winter. Dark at 3 pm, when it is “worst”. From that moment, though, there are a constant attention on how much lighter it is, from week to week, and that gives a feeling of going against better times. I like the dark days, but just a few, not three months.
Thank you 🙂
