OK, I´ll try to make a nisse like the one I posted some days ago. While I start sewing, you can take a bite of this “Julebolle” Christmas bun. Very tasty Danish pastry, though the name is “Vienna bread”.
I was thinking that your nisse (well, that sewn one in particular) is very close in nature to an elf ornament hanging on my parent’s tree. There were two of these elf ornaments, actually, on in predominantly green clothing and one in predominantly red. It always amazes me just how similar all of our holiday traditions really are!
Good luck with the sewing! I’m sure the nisse-world will be very glad to have a new soul! 🙂
Who knows if they are the same race, I think this one could be an elf as well as a nisse. If you get the chance to see your parents elfs, if they still have them, do take a photo.
Oooh, yumm…
Curious to see how the work on your Nisse is progressing, it looks like you’ve got the pattern sorted out already!
Yes, so far so good, measuring the nisse was not difficult, explaining what I was doing and especially why, was a bit, though. 🙂
