“Henstillen af cykler udenfor stativerne forbudt” If you don´t understand what this means, don´t worry, obviously no one does. (If you must know, it means something like : it is forbidden to place your bike outside the stand.)
Oh, that would be an endless project, to remove all the bikes. I think they have to warn about that first, and then wait to see if people remove the bikes. After that there will be a lot of paperwork….people will ask for another place to park, and the community have to spend money on that. We are asked to use the bike as much as possible, alternatively the public transportation system, – not the cars. This is a result of that. Anyway, it looks funny.
Thank you. Sure there are a lot of bikes here, and there will be more, if the campaign works as intended. Health is one reason for that, pollution another. Many people have more than one bike.
Thanks for commenting, eurobrat. Bikers are sometimes aggresive people when driving, they easily get angry and will try to hit the cars if they think someone didn´t respect them.
King Canute – in Danish Knud. How come that his name is Canute in English? I am going to find out. You are educating me again, Gerry. Even for a Copenhagen citizen, this looks a bit chaotic, I am glad I don´t have a bike in the middle.
Less is beautiful… but so many bikes also mean a better health and less pollution. What a sight ! There should be such a campaign over here too. Too many cars for such a small country. Well seen, Birgitte !
Thank you. 🙂
Little by little there will probably be campaigns everywhere, I think these matters are changing slowly. Looking back only 10 years, people were almost in panic about not being able to smoke in the trains. Today, is´s just natural not to. Same thing about the bikes, though of course; I saw a Youtube video with film from Copenhagen in 1937, it was almost a bike chaos….so apparently it goes up and down. . 🙂
Giggle… It makes quite a statement, though, isn’t it? How come the traffic cops do not remove all the bikes? Or are there simply too many?

Oh, my…there certainly ARE alot of bikes! They should replace the sign with a larger bike rack. 😉
Nicely seen!

Nice to see that bikers are just as polite over there as they are here in the States 🙂

Reminds one of King Canute trying to hold back the tide. That should be a poster.

Lol, obvious no one is reading. 🙂
