Today is my late mothers birthday. I went to the churchyard with flowers, but why not plant some at the blog, too. My mother loved wild flowers. This photo is from our last holiday together, at our family summer-place in Jylland.

Oh, Birgitte, what a splendid tribute to your mom! She is smiling for certain today! What a fun spirt to be pulling up her knickers and splashing about in the water. Methinks you inherited that same fun spirit! 🙂

Thank you Tracy, that is so sweet of you to write! You are absolutely right, she had a fun spirit. She could laugh loudly about herself sometimes, when she imagined how others might have misunderstood what she (or we) was doing. She had humour. I am happy to be reminded of this today, and also a bit surprised that you could see it, just by looking at this photo. 🙂

She looks so young! And happy, too – absorbed in her watery investigations.

Every one of those flower images is exquisite. What a lovely bouquet to give your mother.

My mother (73 at this photo) looked and behaved younger than one would expect, this was obvious to everyone, except for herself, – she would have loved your compliment!
She was such an interested and open minded person, always ready to learn more. And always ready to spend hours listening to her childrens long stories about this and that, with a patience only a mother can have. We miss her.

I am sure she was happy standing in the water that day, looking for beautiful stones. Thank you for pointing that out. Recalling the sound of the soft wawes are comforting.

Deanna, I found your comment in the spamfilter. The reason it ended there, is that there is a link in your sender adress. I will check the filter more often. Thank you so much for your kind sympathy.

Thanks for sharing giiid, my mom was about your mom’s age when she passed away. I also took a picture of her by the water. I do miss her, and a big hug to you.

I agree with all the other comments – what a beautiful, loving and colourful tribute to your Mom. In that picture, she looks like she’s really enjoying the water-walk. And the colours of those flowers, especially the ones where the light is shining through them from the back, are just exquisitely ethereal. Many blessings to you and your Mom!

I am glad to see you are back blogging, Isa .As Scott mentioned in a post, ones blogfriends become almost like family. Some times we have other things to do, and not much energy or time for post writing, but we are always back after some time
