A special place? (The little mermaid)

a special place?

I wonder if anyone would think of this humble place as host for a world famous tourist attraction…
Now that the famous little mermaid have been recognized, by Michaela and Wildblack, I will post a few more photos.

Take a good look at her, because soon she will go for a looong trip. Actualy she is going to China! You can find the mermaid in Shanghai from 1.5.2010 and the following 6 months, at Expo 2010

Hi, How are you doing? Is this Denmark? Are you from Denmark? Tell me more about this special place.

Yes, I am living in Denmark, and this place is very famous…I will tell more about this place and Denmark later. (0:28 am right now)Where are you blogging from?

No worries! I’m blogging from United Arab Emirates. How have you been?

        Hi. WildBlack.
Wordpress system doesn´t give any third reply-space, I have to write at your comment then.
I am so glad to know that I have a blogfriend from United Arab Emirates, I hope you will tell something about the country and culture now and then. I saw a very interesting film in TV about the new impressing Palm town. Such a fantastic project.

There’s the Little Mermaid! Never did get to see her when I was in Kopenhagen. She’s smaller than I thought. Do you have a close-up of her, too?

She doesn’t look like Ariel? 🙂 Yeah, Disney has clouded my preception.

I find it hard to believe they let her travel anywhere even if she is a small statue.

It IS hard to belive! Most people thought it was a joke. I just found a link to the press release, I cant post it here for some reason, I will post it in the top.

Wow!! I had no idea she will be traveling. Seems so wrong to me. I am surprised at her small size too.

      Hi Anjeanette 🙂
I found the presentation of the project. They want to bring not only the mermaid, but also water from the harbour…hopefully they will leave some, for the Danes 😉

I hope Ms. Statue of Liberty doesn’t decide to join her. 😉

Kind of surprised me that they don’t make a replica of her, I think it’d not be the same without her.

Ginger, many Danes are asking the same question.

Sometimes your posts bring back long-forgotten childhood memories…like the little mermaid.
