I will insist on Java coffe next time 🙂
The candle is a “count down christmas candle”, ending after 24 days. You will find it in most homes these days. We celebrate Christmas at 24.12, in the evening. I will write more about that later.

Interesting. I’ve never seen one of these candles. Is this a Dutch tradition?

This tradition came from Germany, like the “Christmas calender”, wich I think that Michaela “The daily click” can explain better than me, as she have a German childhood. I will go to town and take some pictures instead.
    I haven´t forgotten the important recipe 🙂

That brings back memories…. I remember having a candle like that as a child. I didn’t have one every year, but we (my sister and I) had an Advent calendar every year.
I love celebrating Christmas on the 24th in the evening. To me this is so much more festive than on the 25th in the morning, like people here in the US celebrate. At least that’s one tradition I got to keep, and my little family opens gifts on Christmas Eve 🙂

It is! Children and shops are most happy, I think 😉 Actually december is a very busy month, it demands hard work to reach the calm and lovely Christmas spirit…most people are exhausted when it is over 🙂
