Wow, this is a wonderful shot, Birgitte. Do you ever crop your photos? I think this one would look even more powerful if you cropped the right side (my right) a little, so that the subject is not right in the middle. Try it to see how you like it.
We simply forgot about Earth hour this evening, but we’re doing whatever we can year round, so I don’t feel guilty about it.

Birgitte– I like the spirit of your blog. Thank you for sharing the beautiful images your eye has captured. This one is luminous! I don’t have a photographic response to Earth Hour, but an artistic one. I hope you will enjoy it:

Erika, thankyou for thinking about the picture. I am always trying to find the essence of what I want the picture to tell, before I crop it. In this case, I actualy tryed what you surgest, but decided to let the picture stay as it was taken, because the focus would change. I wanted it to be “light” and very quiet.
Croping is fun, I love it.

Drue Kataoka; Your Earth Hour art is speaking so clear, I realy like it, and I feel proud to have a compliment from you, a Japanese artist. Actualy me and my family have a great interest in Japan, as we have a dear friend there, so I will take a closer look at your blog.

Birgitte, it was a conscious decision then, probably the best. I enjoy it immensely any which way!
