Birthday

birthday

27 once again….. ;-)
My family made me the traditionel morning-table; with “morning- bread” as we call it, pastry and ofcourse flags and presents. Not to forget the birthday song: “Today is Giiids birthday, hurray, hurray, hurray, she probably will get a present, one she has been hoping for this year, and she will get nice chokolate and cakes. (sorry about this  disastrous translation, but the meaning is OK.) There are more verses, I´ll leave you with this one.
This song is used for every birthday in Denmark, I think, even for the prins Henriks 70´th birthday last month.

Good morning

I woke up early. The sunrise made me go to the beach, trying to catch some of it with my camera.

Living close to the sea must be wonderful, every day a new combinations of cloudes, colors, wawes…We love returning to this place every summer.

“Can I borrow your camera for a moment” my son (17) asked some days ago….a little later he came back with the most amazing photos.
Next time it´s me asking “Would you like to borrow my camera?” I want to see more!

I love being close to the sea, (or inlet as this is) because of the constant changes in how everything looks, depending of how the the weather is. Every change has its own charm.

Wonderful darkness

One of the things I enjoy by staying here, is the absolute darkness at night. This has become a rare experience to get despite how basic it is. I am glad to have some men around me, to defend us against imaginary ghost, though.

My son took this photo yesterday, while I had conquered the internet modem.

Danish television showed – live-  the memorial service for Michael Jackson. Just finished, 10 pm. It´s dark outside, rain and a little thunder.
